Sports facilities of the CSE include a modern indoor sports centre which is currently under construction together with the new HKU Pokfield campus on Pokfulam Road. It includes a large sports hall and other multi-purpose and sport specific areas. Another sports complex - the Stanley Ho Sports Centre at Sandy Bay - includes an athletics stadium with a floodlit synthetic running track, an outdoor basketball court, a 50m outdoor swimming pool, one grass pitch, three floodlit artificial turf pitches, an indoor health and fitness centre, golf driving bays and a softball diamond. Altogether the CSE manages a total of 6 tennis courts. In January 2014 and February 2021, the CSE also opened ACTIVE on the Centennial Campus and B-ACTIVE at the Novum Place (Shek Tong Tsui) respectively, which are state-of-the-art fitness facilities designed to further promote the health and fitness of the university community.
