The HKU Cross Country team put on a spectacular show at the prestigious 36th USFHK Cross Country Race on 23 November 2025, clinching multiple top honors in a stunning demonstration of teamwork, endurance, and spirit.
The course was the stage for a thrilling battle in this year's intensely competitive race, where HKU runners delivered a brilliant all-around performance. The Women's Team claimed a decisive victory and the team championship, showcasing remarkable depth. They dominated the field by placing 6 of their 10 runners within the overall top 15 and won the title by a commanding margin of over 20 points. The team's success was spearheaded by Ng Cherry Cheuk Yu, who earned the individual Women’s 1st Runner-up honor. While a determined effort from the men's team, coming within a small margin of 3 points of the podium to finish as the 4th Runner-Up.
This collective excellence across both Men’s & Women’s Team secured HKU the position of Overall 2nd Runner-Up in the combined standings, delivering a hugely successful day for the team.

· Women’s Individual 1st Runner-Up
In addition to the fantastic results on the course, a team of 16 proactive HKU student-helpers played a vital role in managing the course track, maximising athlete and spectator safety, and distributing resources to athletes on the day.
