We are thrilled to announce that the HKU Water Polo Team captured the Champion title at the USFHK Water Polo Competition on Sunday, 19 April, marking a historic milestone for the team.
Remaining undefeated from the preliminary rounds through to the finals, the team delivered an impressive 19–7 victory over CityUHK in the championship match. Adding to this remarkable achievement, HO Jason (HKU Sports Scholar) was awarded Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the competition — a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding performance, leadership, and contribution throughout the tournament.
This triumph is a powerful testament to the resilience, discipline, teamwork, and unwavering determination of the team. Every teammate played a vital role in this success, demonstrating unity and fighting spirit in every match.
Established just four years ago, the HKU Water Polo Team has shown exceptional growth and rapid development. Their championship victory reflects not only athletic excellence but also their dedication, perseverance, and strong team culture. We are immensely proud of their accomplishments and look forward to seeing the team continue to thrive.
