The Institute of Human Performance is conducting research regarding the physical activity level of HKU staff. We would like to hold a 1-month walking challenge for HKU staff. Participants are only required to install an App and join two seminars; one before and one after the challenge.

This research aims to cultivate an active lifestyle in those who are currently sedentary. Data will be recorded through an App and feedback will be given personally to the participants via the App. If you recognize that you need to be more physically active, you are concerned about your physical health, please come and join us.

To be a participant in this one-month walking challenge, we are primarily looking for participants who do not engage in much physical activity. Therefore, if you do NOT frequently engage in physical activity (i.e., do not exercise more than 30mins/day or 150mins/week) in the past 3 to 6 months, or have never done much physical activity at all, then you are the right person to join this program. All you will need is your smart phone and you can be part of this challenge!
